Christine Tröstrum ist Leiterin von Berlinale Talents. Christine Tröstrum wurde 1972 in Ravensburg geboren. Sie studierte Kultur- und Theaterwissenschaft / Kulturelle Kommunikation in Berlin und ist systemische Beraterin für Organisationsentwicklung und Change Management (u.a. für die Internationalen Filmfestspiele Berlin).

Bis 2000 arbeitete sie für Filmfestivals in Tübingen, Augsburg und Marseille. Von 1998 bis 2000 war sie Projektmanagerin beim Europäischen Filmzentrum in Babelsberg, u.a. für das Pilot-Projekt CyberCinema, erster weltweiter Demonstrator für D-Cinema, zuständig. Bis 2004 war sie Projektleiterin für Cartoon Movie, Europäischer Koproduktionsmarkt für Animationsfilme in Babelsberg sowie Leiterin der Medienwoche (heute Media Convention) beim Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg von 2000 bis 2005.

Seit 2004 arbeitet sie für Berlinale Talents, im September 2008 hat sie die Gesamtleitung übernommen, die sie sich seit 2014 mit Programmleiter Florian Weghorn teilt. Sie ist eine der Initiatoren des Berlinale-Residency-Programmes sowie der Talents-International-Programme in Südafrika (Talents Durban), Mexiko (Talents Guadalajara) und Japan (Talents Tokio), die in Kooperation mit anderen Filmfestivals stattfinden.

Christine Tröstrum is the director of Berlinale Talents. Christine Tröstrum was born 1972 in Ravensburg. She studied cultural sciences and theatre/cultural communication in Berlin and is a systemic consultant for organisational development and change management (among others for the Berlin International Film Festival).

Until the year 2000, she worked for film festivals in Tübingen, Augsburg und Marseille. From 1998 to 2000, she worked as a project manager for the European Film Centre in Babelsberg, among other things for the pilot project CyberCinema, the first demonstrator for D cinema in the world. Until 2004, she worked as a project director for Cartoon Movie, a European co-production marketplace for animated films in Babelsberg, and as director of the Medienwoche (today: Media Convention) at Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg from 2000 to 2005.

Since 2004, she has been working for Berlinale Talents, where she became director in 2008, a role which she has been sharing with programming director Florian Weghorn since 2014. She is also one of the initiators of the Berlinale-Residency programme as well as the Talents-International programmes in South Africa (Talents Durban), Mexico (Talents Guadalajara) and Japan (Talents Tokyo) held in cooperation with other film festivals.
