Stephan Schmitter (44) ist seit 2018 CEO der RTL Radio Deutschland GmbH, einer der größten privaten Radiogruppen in Deutschland. Seit 2007 ist er zudem Geschäftsführer der RTL Radio Center Berlin GmbH, der Muttergesellschaft der Stationen 104.6 RTL, 105’5 Spreeradio, the wave – relaxing radio, sowie der RTL Radiovermarktung.

Schmitter studierte in München Kommunikations-, Theater- und Politikwissenschaften. 1996 begann er seine Laufbahn im Radiogeschäft. Bei Radio Gong 96,3 in München war er acht Jahre lang tätig, zuletzt als Programmdirektor und Moderator der Morgensendung.

Schmitter studied communications, theatre and political science in Munich. In 1996 he began his career in the radio business. At Radio Gong 96.3 in Munich he worked for eight years, most recently as programme director and presenter of the morning show.
